Dalgety Bay Councillors David Barratt, Dave Dempsey and Sarah Neal are on the lookout for a new home for the Bark Park.
Cllr Dempsey said “The Bark Park is a remarkable collection of structures and inventions, produced by Denis Carbonaro at his home in Dalgety Bay. Unfortunately, his work has caused a lot of upset to and friction with his neighbours. It’s basically the right stuff in the wrong place.
“We’d been looking for somewhere nearby that would make for a better exhibition space but, after discussing this with Denis, we accept his view that he needs to keep his home, his workshop and his creations together. So, we need to find a new home for all three.
“This doesn’t have to be in Dalgety Bay; it doesn’t even have to be in Fife. We’re open to pursuing any ideas that come up but we need to maximise the search in order to maximise the chance of finding the right place.
Cllr Barratt said “Denis has a unique talent. Paired with the right location, there is scope to create a nationally if not internationally renowned destination.”.
Cllr Neal added Denis's Wows are amazing but haven't worked in their current residential setting. We're grateful for his cooperation in working with us to find a more appropriate site.”
